I am a reader and scholar based in Toronto, Canada. I have lived in the UK (London & East Sussex) and travelled throughout Europe. My preference is history and art–including novels, paintings, sculpture, architecture, and music. I have two Masters degrees, one in History and History of Art. I have an adorable, older, doggy, Misha, who acts like a puppy. Most of my ideas come out of conversation with this little canine genius. She loves to remind me that she equates herself with the divine. I have walked in on many a bacchanalia, which I have thus joined. Results did not include murder, as Donna Tartt would have us believe. Instead, we just looked at the stars and giggled. Misha questioned my unreality, and I noted that we were both actually hanging upside down like the epic bats we are. We’ve all got a little batman in us, buried deep or hanging out there for all to see.
I hope you’ll find this blog like a sloppily curated room. It contains poems, weird dreams I’ve had, thoughts about books, music, and other insanely brilliant things. 🙂
I now quote 15-year-old me:
“This blog contains various treasures; from butterfly kisses to critical analysis to lazy day-dreams. I travel from whim to whim, and I hope I can share this journey with you.”
